Flower Power Party

And finally, to cap off the week....a birthday party for my 2 little munchkins! My oldest daughter requested fairy cupcakes and pirate cupcakes for her preschool class. They were cute, but dash it all if I didn't forget my camera!!! So next time.

But for their party (Flower Power was the theme they chose) they requested a chocolate cake with a rainbow, flowers, a sunshine and bugs on it. They actually asked for butterflies, but I incorporated the butterflies elsewhere into the decorations so I took it to mean bugs.
My oldest also requested 3 other things: macarons, eclairs, and cupcakes.

So after much mental debate and some agony on my part, I decided to keep it super simple and do just those desserts and call it a party!
